The fundamentals of grassroots program are bound by relationships, team spirit, and fun while learning football. The concept of learning through play while being guided by a coach-educator is a specific approach designed to reach out to the young and create a process to connect to the future.

Playing improves children’s techniques, game intelligence, and enthusiasm. At Sreenidi Deccan Football Club, the primary focus is on achieving holistic development in children.

Interacting, sharing, playing, team work, practicing patience, etc., are some of the benefits we promote in the grassroots program, apart from encouraging enjoyment on the pitch.

5 - 6 Years

  • Development of basic techniques of football like passing, receiving and dribbling.
  • Introduction of games to stimulate players participation while getting them familiar to contact with the ball, passing the ball, and giving players the freedom to be creative, and find solutions to different tasks.
  • Small sided football games of 4v4 and 5v5.

7 - 8 Years

  • Development of football basic techniques like passing, receiving, dribbling and shooting.
  • Introduction of conditioning programs to develop coordination and agility.
  • Small sided football games of 5v5 and 7v7 by introducing tactical team organization.

9 - 10 Years

  • Development of football basic techniques like passing, receiving, dribbling, shooting, 1x1 attacking and 1x1 defending.
  • Introduction of conditioning programs for endurance, strength, speed, coordination, and agility.
  • Small sided football games of 5v5 and 7v7 with the introduction of the general attacking and defensive principles of the game of football.

The program runs in slots of two sessions per week with a duration of 75 minutes per session as follows:

  • Tuesday and Thursday - 3:00 pm to 4:15 pm.
  • Saturday - 3:00 pm to 4:15 pm and Sunday - 8:00 am to 9:15 am.

Development Program - U11 to U18

The Development Program provides players with a fun, energetic and competitive environment focused on individual player development while learning the Sreenidi Deccan Football Club style of play.

The focus is to learn, practice, and transpose the technical skills to master the games. The principles of the game improves the players’ perspective of reading the game, practice the collective technique on the ball. The additional physical training devoted specifically to develop aerobic capacity, speed, and exercises for coordination, movement, agility, and strength makes the training program complete.

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm.
  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday - 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
